  • List of Legitimate NSV viewers

I'm pretty sure these are real:
    Winamp NSV Player/5.* (ultravox/2.0)
    MPEG OVERRIDE
    Shoutcast Server 1.9.5 RELAYS

    List of probable stream rippers:
xmms/1.2.7 (this guy is on a stream and has been connected the longest so I'm thinkin RIPPAR, also isn't this the default client of streamripper?)
blank (not the word blank, just nothing there)

I'm not sure about blank though, but...

Post some for me to add to the list guys. We could get this into a sticky, maybe.

I have a question, what is the problem with streamripping?

I mean, maybe it's just a great fan of your station who recoring your stream to play it again on his mp3 player...

    regards,

    Arkadas

Because, as we all know, there is 0 mp3 players that support nsv.

        Regards,
        you're an idiot

off course you' re right forgot this is the nsv forum, but then again:

You can compare it with people who are taping an episode of CSI on their VHS, just to see it at a time in the futher or collect these items you're broadcasting. You know like I did in the past record all A-team episodes from television.

just a thought, I'm not expert on this...

          regards,

          Arkadas

most of the time they're ripping something they can download on torrent(or, in the case of a certain former streamer, archive.org), buy somewhere, rent from netflix, or something, so it doesn't make sense most of the time.

            also what's this
            NSV Player/0.0 (ultravox/2.0)

Apparently I can't edit my first post forever

Probably streamripper since I dont think it can do nsv:
            FreeAmp/2.x

            Probably legit:
            Unagi/2.4 (ultravox/2.0)

also cool to see but how would you see it unless you embed it yourself?

              one note:
all nsv viewers 5.12 and up report themselves as 5.12

I've tested this with 5.13 successfully and have never seen a 5.2* client, ever.

5.21 is also seen as 5.12
