these are the most important changes Quinto got for the upcoming 3.7 version:

• VU Meter Digital (Vertical) is heavily redesigned
• Main Player got thin side panels, a more modern (digital) Timer and PE_INFO, which is shown on the display if activated
• Export/Import of a color theme
• Keyboard shortcuts for every single component (for example: CTRL + ALT + R for RGB Color Changer)
• Playlist Editor got some nifty small features which are now: File Info, Sleep Timer, Intro Mix, Repeat A-B, Track Bookmarks. Intro Mix is a very simple version of the Plug-In GEN_INTRO
• ... and a huge amount of code clean up

A small preview ...

As we all know Winamp is not able to load/show album covers while streaming. But there is a small exception. One of my favorite online radio stations - Radio Paradise - shows the album cover address instead of the URL address! And since Winamp can read this meta data, I figured out how to grab those addresses and have those album covers shown while listening to Radio Paradise. Right now we only can see those bitmaps on the Album Cover Flow window, where I also added a small reflection:


In case this feature works smoothly I could image to implement it into the upcoming update of my skin (v3.8): we might as well add those album covers to: CD, Vinyl, Playlist Editor or Notifier. We shall see.

For those of you who are eager to try out this feature now I compiled a tiny patch, which will replace two files in Quinto's folder and allow Album Cover Flow window to show the album cover while listening to Radio Paradise.

And since I am not allowed to upload files with m3u8 extension you have to create the playlist file for yourself. Just open a text file, copy and paste http://stream.radioparadise.com/mp3-320 in it and save as m3u8.

Showing only a single cover, cover flow for Radio Paradise looks best with hidden background (as in your screenshot).

I made a small update of the patch, because there was no album cover after a fresh Winamp start - just this "No Cover Art" bitmap. Now, after listening to Radio Paradise and closing Winamp, album cover of the very last song, which you were listening to, is shown on Winamp's start.

Do you remember this fella? I have used his name for the user identification name on all my Windows laptops since 2004. Hence you might be right!

I added to the upcoming version 3.8 of my skin some context menu entries to the Spectrum Analyzer component, which will allow you to switch between Classic and Modern color schemes for the spectroscope's visualizer.

The Classic color scheme is just a gradient which goes from green to red as you know it from the Classic Skin. And Modern color scheme describes the look when all segments of a column are in the same color, which is changeable via RGB Color Changer.
