Winamp Classic Modern by Victhor

This skin is aimed to those who love the simplicity of the classic skin but need to jump to a more high-res-friendly or modern design.


All features I could replicate from the classic skin are here, even the loading speed, to a certain degree. More than this would have feel bloated and unnecessary, so I left it for another version, a full / more complete one that will be launched later (hopefully this year).


So, these are the cool features you'll get if you decide to abandon classic skin and adopt this sweet little skin:
Sharp graphics on a scale similar to classic doublesize

71 Color themes
3 modes repeat
3 modes songticker
Enlarge ALL windows horizontally to achieve the perfect layout
Dock every window to screen edges
AlbumArt window
..and all the things you already love from the good old classic!

. Added "Stop after current" signal on ctrl+v
. Fixed cursor on EQ "+12db" / "0" / "-12db" buttons
. Fixed wasabi.list.background.alternate color gammagroup
. Fixed ctrl+w bug on Playlist
. Improved timer font (edited minus sign)
. Enabled inactive state for Main shade mode to better match classic skin behaviour
. Put some order on EQ resizers

A skin I didn't know I needed, but now no one can pry this skin off of my hands. Muahaha! Very nice skin, Victhor. Haven't encountered a single issue with it. Also I'm still using Winamp 5.66.

Just tossing this idea at you. Just a thought, not sure if it's possible though to be honest. pjn123's Winamp 2006 skin has an animated EQ which is something I haven't seen on another skin. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=247598 It would really liven up the EQ section in this skin I think.

edit 2: I see pjn123 hasn't logged on since March 2017, so scratch that idea.

Yeah he's long gone sadly. Not dead, just married!
But I don't need him around for this to implement it, luckily I have some of the .m files, although it's actually easy to do, I'd just need to figure out how it would blend with the already colored background.

Hi, I love this skin. Unfortunately, the latest WinAMP reproducably crashes with it when quickly switching between WAV files.

- Winamp 5.9 (5.90.0.9999) - clean install
- Active Winamp Language Pack (if any) - none, default installation
- System Specs (Model, CPU, RAM) - Lenovo T540p - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4710MQ CPU @ 2.50GHz, 16 GB RAM
- Windows OS, incl. Service Pack & Locale - German Windows 10 Pro Build 19044
- Video card + drivers version - Intel HD 4600 (On-Board) - 20.19.15.5126
- Sound card/chip + drivers version - Realtek High Definition (Onboard) - 10.0.19041.1
- Detailed step-by-step method of reproduction (eg. numbered list):

1. Install WinAMP - all defaults
2. Launch WinAMP for initial setup
3. Install Winamp Classic Modern v1.03 by Victhor.wal
4. Add two WAV files to the playlist
5. Quickly switch between both WAV files multiple times
6. Crash

Can you gelp? I can supply dumps.

Use DBPowerAmp to change the .wav files into MP3 files and the problem should be solved.
you can keep the original .wav files , copy them and use the copied files to change them into MP3 files.

I know how to convert files. I'm interested in a solution, not a workaround
