  • Curated AVS packs - can anyone share theirs?

I've been using the default AVS installation for years, and while some of the defaults are still stunning to this day, others get a little boring such as this one:

I was wondering if anyone can share their AVS packs? All the packs I have downloaded in the past were thousands large, and had so many crappy ones it wasn't worth spending the time to sift through the "garbage" (no disrespect to the authors, I am just looking for a more curated set).

So, does anyone have custom AVS packs they can share that kick ass? Please upload it to mediafire or somewhere that has long file hosting retention.

Search on deviantart.com for AVS presets and visit visbot.net.
Using the wayback machine you can also find a lot of presets that were hosted on winamp.com

I have submitted my personal collection to a number of people to "curate" them, but they haven't been doing anything with them so far. Posting my own presets here in a giant zip file would certainly exceed the forum limitations.

The problem with me just posting my entire library of my own presets is that I can't exactly remember what presets require what files when it comes to bitmaps or ape's.

I would need to go through my entire set preset by preset to look for requirments for each preset, which in my case is not thousands, but still in the hundreds of presets I would manually have to check what they need and are dependent on.

FYI, I still have your presets too.
I 've kept them private since the day you removed most of your material from dA etc.
Given the small size of the images, I'd just make a dump of all bitmaps in the root /avs/ folder that don't have another artists name in the beginning (unless you used those of course).

I personally used dA for my collection since winamp.com shut down their gallery, but dA seems to have removed my backup deviation (Chronology).
Re-uploading it failed, it won't let me upload the .zip file without explaining why.
I guess dA only cares about images - should have seen that one coming.

Given that I can read the AVS preset file format, it's easy to extract every image and APE that a preset needs. If you want I can whip together a small script/exe to print, for a given preset, the required dependencies.

Didn't I already send you my entire collection? You can do all that thing for my entire preset collection and post it, I give you my permission.

Obviously for presets i've made, not for other people's presets

Remixes im not entirely sure about the copyright issues there.
