  • AVS crash in fullscreen mode (nvidia optimus)

    HI,

my Notebook has two diffrent GPU:

Geforce GT 325M & Intel HD graphics (nvidia optimus)

It's not possible to start AVS, after a few seconds winamp crashes.
The same with milkdrop in Fullscreen mode.

can anybody help me to fix this?

here's the reason and there's no way to fix this unless you downgrade winamp or use a third party player.

it's been discussed plenty of times, for a summary read this!

or just give up on AVS and use Milkdrop or one of the other 3rd party vis plug-ins out there.

milkdrop (winamp) works only in window mode, fullscreen crashes.

that sounds more like a graphics driver issue as generally Milkdrop shouldn't crash when going into fullscreen - and i'm aware of seeing things from people other fullscreen things crashing when using some nvidia optimus drivers, though i've not seen it happen with my nv4200m chip using the same sort of thing.
