Is it possible to do projection mapping with Milkdrop. I know that's not what its made for, but would it be possible to maby mask out certain areas of the visualization?

I don't know exactly what you want but yes, it is certainly possible to mask out user defined areas of the visualisation. Make a jpg of your desired mask, load it in the comp shader section and multiply ret by the image. Not a big issue, but needs to be programmed in each preset separately.

Im wanting to have MD on a projector in a tent/marquee, probably pointing at the corner, what would you suggest to map it so its not distorted, so therell be 6 points, the left and right corners, and the top and bottom points of the seem (where the corners meet)
I cant really do something to the presets, id prefer some software solution to map it. i was thinking using processing but using webcam software (so processing can get the video from your 'webcam') causes the frame rate to drop alot

this is how far ive got
-Resolume, only seems to support crappy webcam driver inputs and NOT the better ones from FFSplit, XSplit (which allow 60fps and bigger resolutions)
-Processing sketch, using SurfaceMapper library, and the inbuilt Video Capture library to grab input from a webcam (DOES allow for FFSplit, XSplit but these two arnt great compared to the seemingly perfect OBS Open Broadcaster Software, which has its own problem of not functioning as a webcam driver....
