Does anyone know if it can be done, or how it could be done, to have a texture (sprite) be a video stream?
I realize MD2 was written back in the DirectX9 (or earlier days) but almost everyone has Dx10 or better card these days. I think the new Dx10 supports video textures in hardware which should mean it can be added fairly easily to MilkDrop2 with a Dx10 update.
I'd be up for a team-effort if this hasn't been done yet.
