  • decrease title size in milkdrop

    Hi !

I ask this question after research, I found this answer from 2003 :
"At the milkdrop control panel (alt + k when milkdrop is not running) click on select fonts."

It did not help me because, there is no "title size" in the text file "milk2_msg" and changing size (ex: "size=25) of all parts [message00] to [message50] don't do anything when title appears.

I ask for this because titles which are too longs are like this in screen :
    "title too long - artist - s..."

Somebody could explain to me which line I must to modify to make the titles readable, lot of them are just too longs.

    Thanks for your help !

You didn't say what version of MilkDrop you're using. But on MilkDrop's configuration's common settings tab there should be a button called "Select Fonts". That dialog should let you select the font and size to use for animated songtitles.

You may be better served to try to shorted your ATF string.

You can't when you have more than 40000 titles.

I'm still using v2.25c. I don't understand what the number of songs has to do with it. Why isn't the string "%title% - %artist%" enough?

Or is it that most of your songs don't have these tags and you have too many to take the time to tag them yourself? I know from experience that auto-tagging apps often gets things wrong.

You can construct an ATF string that will extract the song title and artist from the filename. But, of course, that info needs to be in the filename.

        Anyway, good luck going forward.
