After running MilkDrop continuously on my desktop background for about 2 months, I am still amazed at how little CPU it uses. WinAmp.exe is averaging about 1% of my total CPU, with Shoutcast input, MilkDrop as desktop mode and 1152x864x32-bit (half-resolution). And I'm getting a fairly constant 33.3fps.
I understand the graphics card is doing most of the work, but what about all the equations? How the heck does it do it?
