Can I legally use Milkdrop screenshots for my music productions on youtube?

All I can say is that this question was raised a couple of times and there were never any objections to use milkdrop in youtube videos. Although it is not open source, only the old version 1 was.

Is it ok to use screenshots of Milkdrop and publish them on youtube - just for my own music vids (I'm a producer)? I would not be selling the videos or having them broadcast elsewhere, only on youtube as an advert for, and accompaniment to, my tunes.

I love the fact that it's open sourced but am not entirely sure what that means in youtube terms. I need some good visuals so more people are attracted to the videos. Obvioulsy there are lots of people ripping off visualizers on youtube but I don't want to break any rules...
