  • Icons Disappear in Desktop Mode

When click desktop mode in WinAmp everything appears to be ok, my windows sidebar still shows however my icons all disappear behind the visualization and I have the boxs checked that say "Show Icons" and "Draw colored boxes around icon text labels" and "My desktop icons get occluded (covered) by taskbar when i use Desktop Mode; fix it!". All three of those are checked and my icons are still gone.

to see exactly what my desktop looks like go here:

I'm running windows vista home premium and i have download and installed the latest version of MilkDrop from their site.

Same problem here on Vista Business (64). It seemed to come with the 5.51 update, as I hadn't had any problems on Vista previously.

I dont have time for this, it said i wasnt logged in so Im trying it again and I know I logged on.

So far I have only seen 1 copy of Vista 64 work, one home version of vista, on a gateway, I think It was basic, I can find out later. But On my ultimate, I tried a lot of things so far and no luck, I did all the plugin options too, but also played in vistas themes, and display configs, no luck yet.... It works on all my xp and me machines fine.

      3-me, 2 xp pro, 1 ce, 1 vista u,

The only one with problems is the vista, dual core amd 64 x2 4800+ 65w 4g ram ati(trashvid)1200 onboard asus m2avm hdmi pinnacle studio movieboard DV/AV 500 for vista only, adding nVidia 8600 pcie superclock in a few hours...

Built this one just to smoothly stream vids with shoutcast, a 2.6 gig intel couldnt handle it on my lan alone, 20 seconds to buffers, this better run smooth now....

got lots of bands to make vids for and host online demos for them.

I have macromedia 8 full package and havent used it yet due to cancer and surgery then overdose of radiation, but trying to do something now, yesterday 5th aniversary of surgery.

I hope some one finds a fix for this desktop problem sooooon.

It works great on all my others but not this one...... its hassle haveing to run it in a window so I can grab icons on my desktop, got my 8600gts superclocked, might get time to install tonight, got to go do a recovery in town, they lost windows accessto the net only have dos on an old me machine...

milkdrop 2 works fine on that too, and its only a 350 mmx w/224 megs of ram... runs pretty nice, except when they think they can tweak something hahaha...

Same problem here, on Vista x86. This is NOT just a x64 problem. It might be a DirectX 10 problem.
