    win2k SP4, in_mod.dll version 2.2.2:
    When playing a mod(it,s3m,etc) from a http:// URL, if that mod has a "blank" (zero length) title in the mod's title field, the first time it's played, the playlist title will be shown as the filename. Going to another song in the playlist and then returning to the mod will then cause the mod's playlist title to be the same as that of the last file played.

    Right click > view file info then changes the mod's playlist title to the full URL. View File Info from a context menu or any other place doesn't do this.

    here is a mod with no title: http://www.engramstudio.com/music/mod/mcmole.it
    here is a mod with a title:

    add the URLs to winamp, switch between them, and both should end up having the same title.

    [note: reposting this from 5.21 thread, wasn't acknowledged at all I don't know if anyone can reproduce this or not]

    [Edit --> DJ Egg]
    Yeah, reproduced/known. in_mod needs quite a bit of work, heh.

      hi

      after installition of the new released winamp (5.23) the included ipod plugin (under portables) did not work properly..
      i can only see severall songs (around 15) from around 10'000..

      also the newest ipod plugin (by will fisher) wont work in this case.. (i tested this plugin after u tried to do it woiht the new portable section.

      thanks for support an great work so far!

      best regards felix

      [Edit --> DJ Egg]
      The 3rd-party ml_ipod plugin is not supported here, and doesn't work under 5.2x. If present, it also disables the native pmp_ipod plugin.

        Ok...
        I know this is going to sound completely crazy.

        Since I installed 5.23 if I have more than one custom colortheme in "Winamp\Plugins\ColorThemes\Winamp modern" the first (alphabetically) custom color theme is shown perfectly. However the second one doesn't load all the settings so looks like the "default".

        Note this is the filename of the theme not the "gammaset id=".
        (This occurs if colorthemes are stored in separate xml's if you put all colorthemes in the same xml this doesn't occur.)

        If I rename one that doesn't display correctly, so it comes first alphabetically, then that one displays perfectly and the following custom ones won’t.

        As I said - I know it's crazy... but I just spent over half an hour testing this and renaming the custom theme that didn't display correctly to come first alphabetically works everytime.

        I've reinstalled winamp, removed plugins - cleared all settings.

        This still is the case.

        Please tell me there's a logical reason for this - I think I'm losing my mind over it.

        [Edit --> DJ Egg]
        Hmm, yeah, there might be something funky going on there. I suggest that you post in the Modern Skins forum instead, for clarification/confirmation/etc.

            This isn't a problem with the bundled plugins but it is an issue with the Jammix EQ plugin. When listeing to ShoutCast, Winamp would crash giving me the Jammix DLL as the cause. just thought i'd pass the word.

            [Edit --> DJ Egg]
            Again, 3rd-party plugins are NOT supported here. Please do NOT report any such issues in the Bug Reports forum. Besides all that, I can't reproduce the problem with the latest version of Jammix.

              Sorry just spent ages searching for a modern skins bug report forum, and haven't been able to find it.

              [Edit --> DJ Egg]
              The Modern Skins forum is here. You've even posted in it before, heh.

                        Repost from the 5.22 thread:

                        ml_nowplaying.dll seems not to be implementing most of the MiniBrowser API. "Do not allow media to switch automatically to "Now Playing"" seems to have no effect - nothing can ever switch there, whether by using IPC_MBOPEN or IPC_MBOPENREAL. NxS Info Tool gets junk when trying to retrieve the current URL.

                          Alas, the old MiniBrowser API is no more. Afaik, it is gone for good.

                            Well, that sucks. Some of us were using it! (Making your own pages using file metadata is a good idea when not one of them will ever come up right in the regular Now Playing lookup.)

                            So what effect do the Now Playing options have now? With no external URLs, the anti-JS+ActiveX option is somewhat useless too.

                              ml_local crash when updating special items in ML

                              I did a clean install of 5.23, but copied my settings (ML contents etc) in the corresponding installer step from my old 5.21 installation. This added ~5000 songs to the ML.

                              Warning, it gets very deep into code now...
                              Some of them now have a TUID2 field in the extended_info of the ItemRecord, I don't know where this comes from or what it's good for. When analyzing my original database in 5.21, no ItemRecord has this TUID2 field. So 5.23 generates it itself (what for?) for some items, in my case only 8 songs out of 5000 had it set.

                              And it can be clearly seen that ml_local crashes when you want to update such an item with ML_IPC_DB_UPDATEITEM.

                              This can only be reproduced from a ML plugin, you can write a simple one that uses the ML_IPC_DB_UPDATEITEM message, see example below.

                              Example code:
                              code:

                              void testIt()
                              {
                              char query[]="type=0";
                              mlQueryStruct mqs={query,0,};
                              SendMessage(plugin.hwndLibraryParent,WM_ML_IPC,(WPARAM)&mqs,ML_IPC_DB_RUNQUERY); //run the query
                              int lr=mqs.results.Size;
                              for(i=0; i<lr; i++)
                              {
                              itemRecord *ice=&mqs.results.Items[i];
                              // here we crash if ice has a TUID2 setting:
                              SendMessage(plugin.hwndLibraryParent,WM_ML_IPC,(WPARAM)ice,ML_IPC_DB_UPDATEITEM);
                              }
                              SendMessage(plugin.hwndLibraryParent,WM_ML_IPC,(WPARAM)&mqs,ML_IPC_DB_FREEQUERYRESULTS); //free memory
                              }

                              So you see, all I do is writing the old info back, no changes are made. That crashes with the TUID2 info. In the debugger, I can see that the crash happens somewhere in ml_local, when the ECX register has an unexpected 0xFFFFFFFF value.

                              Call stack:
                              code:

                              NSCRT! 7c34ae5c()
