180px album covers are not cached

The 180px album covers are not cached. It always takes a few moments before they are displayed. This looks irritating. The art_180.dat in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Winamp\Plugins\ml has only a size of 16 mb. It becomes larger after each shutdown of Winamp but the covers still aren't displayed immediately like they are with the other three sizes.
