When I use my volume button, it changes both winamp and system

This is the worst thing about winamp, if this is fixed, then it's my audio player for life but it's so god damn annoying that I'm gonna switch to the even shittier foobar

    @cesarLamega

I know you said you downloaded 5.666 from elsewhere and it worked,
but I've deleted that info from your post, mainly because the imageshack links weren't working properly...

But basically, you needed to install 5.666 from the recommended provided link
and then apply the update patches after (see first post in thread for details).

The official in_mp3 patch would've fixed your problem.

    1. Charge musics by Library, CTRL + P library scan or Playlist.
    Folder : C:\Users\%User%\Music

v5.66 had issues like you're mentioning from that i remember.

the current release is v5.666 build 3516 (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....74929#download) and the 2 required plug-in updates (http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....373755#updates).

and what you do you mean "I know it's kind of to late and maybe pointless too" - Winamp was sold and thus saved so it is now possible (to look into and fix issues towards the next release which is likely to be in 2015). though depending on what the actual issue is (as i'm not 100% from your description), it could be possible to patch it beforehand (like has already been done with the links noted in my mine and koopa's posts).

Version 5.66, the latest one, it's unable to queue files trough context menu. When I do that - it starts playing immediately... I didn't succeeded to enqueue any files... did reinstall few times, but nothing helped.
    It works perfectly in v.5.65
Have you installed the required updates?

What is Winamp? Why is Winamp? How is Winamp? All these burning questions and issues discussed within.

I can understand that it might not be high on a priority list. I personally only rarely use that feature when I'm working with a mono karaoke system at a venue where I don't have control over the fact that the house system is wired in mono. No rush.

DLPB's issue is something else where artifacts can be heard when force mono is enabled. maybe it's related to your issue, i'm not sure as i've tried force mono and other than some small artifacts, it works as expected with some of the files i've tried. either way, it's on the 'to check' list, but it might be a while before i get to a position i can even look into it.

I'm not sure if the above post is what I'm talking about (it probably is), but the "force mono" function doesn't seem to work.

Options > Preferences > Playlist > Playback > Playback tab > Force Mono

I have tried on a few different file types; the audio plays in stereo whether this option is checked or not.

    Thank you.
It was a very fast answer. It works well now.
Winamp eats all of my mp3 files with one click... more than 28k
It doesn't crash yet, the sound is good.
I use it (make playlists, play songz, rescan folder, install addons, etc.) till tomorrow night non-stop and I'll share my observations.
    Once again, thank you.
