  • winamp /add truncates filenames passed in

I have a program calling winamp/add with lots of filenames, the windows command line can handle 32k chars, winamp is truncating the list to a bit over 1000 chars. Run http://genethomas.com/tmp/winamp-bug.bat [attached in .zip file] to exercise the bug the list goes up to "200-.." but winamp truncates it at the "103-..." entry.

P.S. Thanks for WinAMP it cranks!

Write the list of filenames to a file with the extension M3U8 or maybe M3U.
That is a playlist file: for example "FileList.m3u8"

    Then execute this command:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Winamp\winamp.exe" /add "C:\Any path\to\FileList.m3u8"

fyi: There are no developers that will respond to bug reports. Winamp has not been actively developed for many years.
