    winamp 5.9.1 keeps crashing

    I tried using classic pro skins with the 5.9.1 release but they crash winamp. So I switched to previous release and it works fine. Obviously this needs to be fixed and another version needs to be released.

      Bug report:

      Just had to rollback Winamp 5.9.1 as the Big Bento skin has a regression bug.

      It only supports dragging the window around when doing so from about 70% across the title bar. By contrast, 5.9 and previous versions allow dragging from anywhere along the title bar.

      Hope this can be fixed for 5.9.2 and thanks for the work on the project!!

        Good catch.

        Winamp\skins\Big Bento\xml\player-normal-group.xml

        Open it in Notepad and search for this line:

        <group id="player.mainmenu" x="97" y="1" w="388" h="21" />

        Change the "388" value to taste.

        The original value was "200"

        <group id="player.mainmenu" x="97" y="1" w="200" h="21" />

        but if you're using a Lang Pack, the Help menu item will be truncated,
        and part of the workaround fix was to increase that value...

        With Winamp active, hit F5 to refresh the skin.

        [EDIT]

        Actually, it's caused by the removal of ghost="1"

        Changing it to this will fix it:

        <group id="player.mainmenu" x="97" y="1" w="388" h="21" ghost="1" />

              Yes but it isn't audio only but video, too. Maybe it explains the higher bitrate. Nevertheless the old Winamp-Version still works... So anything has been broken. VLC plays it without stuttering as well.

              Best regards

                    Hello.

                    Please confirm if the crash still occurs after removing the third-party Scrobbler plugin:

                    ml_wa2_scrobbler.dll

                        Hmm, so it's still crashing.

                        You can disable that particular gen_crasher error msg by unchecking "Send Data" in Prefs => Error Feedback.

                                Did you find a solution ?
                                In my case it seems among other things that Winamp is writing the same smartview name in the "query*_name_utf8=" of AppData\Roaming\Winamp\gen_ml.ini.
                                Unfortunately it can't manage it properly in my install and it will display this message instead of the library : "unable to display an appropriate library view. Please select a view from one to the left or re-install Winamp with library plug-ins as applicable".
                                So I went back to version 5.8

                                I also still have this other problem since 5.8 that is still present in 5.9 :
                                When updating tags in playlist with dialbox "Edit item Metada" or "File Info" AND a smartview with empty query_val_utf8= is selected in library, I experience a high CPU from average 0,8 to 5% which lasts until I select another smartview on library, BUT this will only happen with some MP3, not with all of them. I tried to find if there was any difference in the MP3 that could lead to this problem, but they are totaly indentical, quite same tags fields, quite same path on disc, quite same lenght etc.
                                It's a mystery to me. Happening only if smartview query_val_utf8= is empty.
                                I use empty query_val smartview as separators to organize the library.
