what prevents you Nullsoft guys from putting any sign of Winamp5's existence on the main winamp.com page? I know that the main page will change on the final launch day, but what makes the process of updating the main page so slow? Is it overly carefully monitored and screened by AOL?
thanks!
5 3 I encode my music in Ogg Vorbis 2 I know enough about music and computers not to like computerized music.
Oh no, the Pro registration screen is still there in the light version.
I had wished that that would be removed in the final for the Standard and Lite version.
But as I see, there will probably be no commercial nag screen free version.
I hate the Winamp Pro entry in the preferences althogh using the lite version, and the CD ripping entry, although no cdripping is installed in the full version.

Relax, its only the preferences screen. At least its not in the main window. you could just imagine how irritating a popup in the main winamp window would be saying "upgrade to pro now" (a la MSN messenger)
I think the final release of winamp 5.0 should be dedicated to Brennan and aus, who will be dearly missed (especially cos i had hopes of being able to see an updated winamp 3/wasabi player)
Will people at nullsoft let us know where these two skilled developers get jobs? i bet they're being head hunted as we speak!!
