  • how about a feature...

how about a feature which would be able to find the dead files (because the path has changed) in a playlist and correct the path ?!

cause i don't want to edit each playlist entry with ctrl+e and correct the path on each of fx. 1000 files

    hope i get some statements...

    so post everything u think...

why do you guys always mess up your playlist?!

take a look here; it has been asked for before:
If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.

I think I am psychic. I can tell you what is on that page without looking.

Open the playlist in a text editor (notepad/wordpad) and then do a find and replace:
      Replace: X:\path\to\old\files
      With: Y:\path\to\new\files

Or if they are relative links:
      Replace: old\files
      With: new\files

I believe it also works with the library (I have never and have no need to try and edit that mess)

      Whaddya know, I am psychic!

Like your sig btw, though the link to Winamp seems pretty usely to me at these forums

Perhaps. I tested it and think it looks good.

I do not think it's possible with the library btw. Ever tried opening main.dat?
Well, I'm not gonna try, don't want to loose my data
            [edit]
sorry, did not read well, you opened main.dat and found it's a mess
that's what i meant to say
