Essentials Pack Localization Thread

I made the Essentials Pack completely localizable. You can find all informations about translating the installer or the shipped plug-ins in this thread.

Official translators can find all the needed example files directly on Xlat FTP server.

For all non official translators:

Latest example file to translate the installer:

Language files to translate the shipped plug-ins:

- Example language files for the bundled plug-ins for your WLZ language pack*

* Also part of the official Winamp 5.58 example language pack

Up to date installer translations, based on v1.17 are currently available for:

English, French, German, Japanese, Polish, PortugueseBR, Romanian, Russian, Turkish


We have also some outdated language files, it would be nice, if someone could update them:

I've updated the example file to v1.01. The new file contains 2 new strings:

LangString LANGUAGE_DLL_TITLE ${LANG_ENGLISH} "Installer language"

LangString LANGUAGE_DLL_INFO ${LANG_ENGLISH} "Please select a language:"

to translate the language selection dialog, I've also fixed a tiny typo in the English text.

The attachment in my first posting is updated, so if you've downloaded the file, download it again.

I've updated the example language file to v1.02.

I've added the ability to translate the uninstall messages.

There are 2 new strings:

LangString "success" ${LANG_ENGLISH} "$(^Name) was successfully uninstalled"

LangString "confirm" ${LANG_ENGLISH} "Do you really want to uninstall $(^Name)"


You can move $(^Name), I did it in the German language file:

LangString "confirm" ${LANG_GERMAN} "Möchten Sie $(^NAME) wirklich deinstallieren"

It would be nice, if you could update your language files again.
