Hi, I was wandering if this tool can backup all types of files including .flv and other videos extensions or just mp3 audio files?

As far as I am aware it only backs up the Winamp configuration files, settings, skins etc.
It does not back up audio files etc.

Re-uploaded both tools as .zip files to prevent such issues. No other changes.

As MarkRH said, it is a false positive, nevertheless, I had the same issue with Firefox.

You're using NSIS to package the tools correct?

Yes, WInamp Backup Tool is written in NSIS.

NSIS is simple, fast and generate small executables. Generally there are no problems with AV, but it may happen.

NSIS is VERY powerful. I use it for my Winamp plugin deployments. I find that I get AV false positives dinged all the time, it's frustrating. That's why I've taken to repackaging the NSIS installers with this: http://bogproghome.hopto.org/forums/...c.php?f=5&t=24

Just FYI it doesn't just recompress the installer, it encrypts it.

As Pawel said, we wrote the tool 13 years ago in NSIS because, it was flexible, simple and did the job.

Like you said, sadly some AV software is producing false positives with NSIS based installers again and again.

But I think ALIASJT had another issue, he/she is getting the "This file is not commonly downloaded" warning message from Firefox which ends in a blocked download.
I saw this with some files in Firefox too.

Will take a look at your tool when I have some time.

I've seen that as well even with my extractor, however I find it's less alarming than the "oh-my-god-you-moron-this-file-contains-viruses-that-will-steal-your-credit-cards-and-your-identity-kill-all-your-children-plus-the-dog-and-burn-your-house-and-she-shed-and-have-the-FBI-ATF-CIA-and-DOJ-bust-down-your-door-and-shoot-you-in-the-head-and-then-plant-evidence-to-make-it-look-justified" warnings.
