Juanus: that's not intended behaviour. it's mean to open over the main window with respect to the top left corner of the main window. could be something to do with a video card driver messing with things (as the placement is left to the OS to do). i assume this is not something new that you've been experiencing ?
thinktink: cannot see anything jumping out. and there's nothing in the code changes between 3363 and 3364 (was a one line change in playlist.w5s) which could even start to explain the behaviour. sunspots is my only answer.
