Yes. But it also eats a lot of my (secondary workhorse) system. (It belongs in a museum! I wanted to add that to my signature, but didn't have the space... ) I don't like sites that are so flashy that they lag -- or worse, make other things lag. Simplicity does it, for me...
Still, after getting quite sceptical, it was nice to feel a bit curious again. I wonder what the Android app will look like -- and if it will rival Musicolet. (Good luck with that! )

This spring, Winamp opened its Foundation to help musicians across the world create music they love. All funds collected by the Foundation will be redistributed to charity projects supporting music and musicians.
I think this is a good way to help fund development, especially with both fans and artists being part of helping to make the new Winamp happen.

...And Other Hilarious Jokes You Can Tell Yourself
Agreed... So, this leaves it up to us to make sure that it's understood that we don't want any crypto-babble involved with us using the software for it's intended multimedia purposes and expect there to be No requirements to participate in crypto or nfts or whatever pops into existence tomorrow that's considered FADulous.
As mentioned before, Winamp6 will be more like a continuation of WAFA - but a cross-platform app for Android, iOS, web, etc.
Winamp 5 for Windows is still an ongoing project.
We've now got a whole new development team!!! Yay!
The biggest job of all was to get the Winamp 5 project ported over from old VS2008 to VS2017 (or newer) and building...
The refactoring process is still on the way, but almost complete.
There won't be many new features in the next release, mainly refactoring, bug fixes, 3rd-party lib updates (Lame, libmpg123, libflac, libvorbis, etc.) - the main thing is to get the project building and active again.
We will have to break canon and after releasing a v5.9 (maybe in a few weeks' time), the next releases will need to be e.g. v5.10.0, 5.11.0, etc. Or maybe 5.901, 5.902, 5.912, etc. We shall see.
@DJ Egg,
Very good to hear such news! We all hope it will be done soon.
It is high time to replace the old BETA version with the new, official one.
There were many announcements and nothing happened... To be honest, it is a shame it takes so long... And all that NFT stuff... please, focus on Music Player, not stupid ideas that nobody wants.
Winamp for Windows is must have. There are still users that use local music library. That own music, not corporation streams... Old school Winamp is what we need.
