as for why x, y and z aren't natively provided in Winamp. because we have finite resources and the whole point of plug-ins was so that things that are more niche, etc can be added without needing to wait years (if at all for it to happen) for it to be considered as something that can be natively provided.
and adding everything under the sun then gets called as bloat by those who don't want the features others want - so whatever the case we're stuck in-between a rock and a hard place (especially as there is a general reluctance to install plug-ins now and so unless it's natively provided we're in the wrong despite some of these things needing a lot of work to implement properly and we just don't have that and never have over the years that Winamp has existed).
[edit]
provide more information on what the issue is and with what VST and i'll try to reach out to the plug-in author to try to get a solution.
