This one is a bit old, but is more in the tradition of current Winamp designs / skins.

The wavebar and the big search on top of the PL is something a lot of people ask for..

one possible variation could be to make the Seek bar as long as the wav, and put the numbers INSIDE it.

Nice use of album art (or artist images, if that is what they are). As a fan of the spectrum analyzer, I also like the wavebar. It's a shame this concept was never made into an actual skin.

As simple as this design may feel, it actually has 3 things the current engine can't do (maybe doable trough some nonexistent plugin..);
. Song wavebar
. Semi-transparent PL background
. Dynamic Artist image pickup

Any of these would be a really awesome addition to Winamp.

I agree, although dynamic artist image pickup would probably take too long to find the right image size. But a local image to start that would change into others as the song played would be cool.

I remember when I had a plug-in that let me use 1 or more images as the backgrounds for the playlist editor (image could change as the songs changed or change on an adjustable schedule), but a Windows upgrade broke it (and it only worked with nVidia gpu cards).

Winamp does support different opacities, but they affect the entire skin for SUI skins. It should be possible (without to much effort) to select specific windows for classic skins.
