I just wanted to say goodbye to my favorite music player of all time. I've been using Clementine waiting for the new Winamp to come out, because it's open source and I love open source software or knowing that I'm using software with lots of love behind it. Winamp isn't Open source, but it was one of those exceptions I allowed, because I knew allot of love went behind it.
Anyways, because of Windows 10 crossing the line with privacy which is absolutely bat shit insanity to me, I'm moving over to Linux Mint. Linux has gone a long way, and now triple A games are being ported to it, so I couldn't think of a better time to dump Microsoft forever. Sadly I don't think Winamp is being ported to Linux and using wine to play music doesn't really seem likely, so I'm saying goodbye to an old friend or a circle of friends, because Im saying goodbye to it's plugins as well, like DFX and SqrSoft Advanced Crossfading. From the era of rediscovering my old school music, to the era of being in touch with new music, to the era of reporting in war torn regions, back to the era of listening to all music - we've been through so much together.
Linux here I come!
