Hi Folks,
Been a faithful user of Winamp for many umpteen years, but it's time to walk away. Just want to say thanks. In recent years, I've only used Winamp as a podcast catcher (podcatcher), and it's done quite well. Lately, in the last week or two, I've noticed several podcast URL's will display the new episodes, but the files don't actually download, (even when manually selecting "Download Media"), while other podcast URL's continue to work fine. it might have to do with the particular aggregator feeds or whatever. I don't know.
At about the same time, I've started using gPodder [Link removed , no advertising]. It downloads everything fine, plus it's being actively maintained, which I wish were true for Winamp, but it's not.
So, thanks for the service. Wish it would continue, but... so long.
