What stable version pre-5.9?

Gentlemen.

5.9 doesn't work for me. I've tried every single thing under the sun, and it just won't play anything besides mp3 files. Can anyone direct me to the latest stable release before 5.9? I'm so sick of this now, I just want a working winamp version like I've always had before this!

What's your Windows OS?

Did you make sure all components were selected in the installer options?

Winamp will play only mp3 files if everything else under Audio Playback and Video Playback is unchecked on the Choose Components page of the Installer options.

Note: I keep this install in it's own location, separate from the new ones coming out so I can immediately fall back to it in the event something in the new development goes awry on my system config. ..Just a thought. Hope this helps.
