Other than ml_nowplaying2.dll, all of those plugins are first party and included with the Winamp 5.9.1 installer.

If they're not present, it means they weren't checkmarked on the Choose Components page of the Installer Oprtions.

    • Yes I did a custom installation and probably chose not to install them
Why does Winamp tell me they are missing if we can choose not to install them?

Otherwise, I tested with a full installation, these plugins are present

      Thanks

The creation of that winamp.log file was implemented for troubleshooting purposes during the 5.9.0 beta phase when there were reports of files not loading on Windows 7 & 8.

We haven't decided what to do with it since then, but it can just be ignored, for now.

          • I have installed Winamp version 5.9.1.10029, but the Winamp_Update_Pack_v5.9.1c.exe update patch refuses to run.

            • I reinstalled version 5.9.1.10029 and then the update patch version 5.9.1c ran. I have no idea why this worked, but I'm glad it did.

              • Winamp 5.9.1, Win7 x64, clean install. There is disabled proxy settings edit box:

It worked in previous versions. Is this a bug? Or how to set proxy corectly?

As a temporary solution: just edit the corresponding dialog resource using the program and change "Enabled" value for proxy address edit box to "true".
And now open Preferences window and paste new proxy address and port.
                  Now it's works!

Hovewer, be noticied that next reopening the Preferences window resets the proxy settings!

                  • I have an issue with displaying non-latin characters in the latest version (I applied the latest patch). Can anybody confirm? And what could be the cause?

                    Broken characters in Playlist

Solved it by resaving the playlist as UTF-8 with Unicode BOM option on.

                      • danissimo, how did you select save WITH BOM? I only see three options:

                        PLS
                        M3U
                        M3U8

                        when saving a playlist.

                        • So which is the newest version? 5.9.1 or 5.90?

Or are they one and the same?

                            • It would have been a good idea to provide a bit more information on the download section (Downloads - Winamp).
It doesn't say anything about what version it is at the moment. Only "Windows" and "Download".
Otherwise, one have to always download everytime to figure out what version it is.
