    Re: New: [ml_fanzone/hotmix]
These are both optional and work pretty much the same as the ml_nft plugin from 5.9.1
Click the node in the ML tree to open the relevant page on winamp.com in your default browser.

To make the content actually open directly in the Winamp ML instead, we were experimenting with using a combination of Qt5 and CEF (Chrome Embedded Framework) to replace the IE10 engine in Winamp, but...
    1) It would add ~250mb of DLLs to the installer
    2) Qt6 has just been released and without support for Win7-8.1 (which was our reason for not choosing to use Chromium Edge)
    3) There's no meta plugin for CEF (for the ml_nft features)

    Re:

    - Replaced: dlmgr.w5s functions moved to new wac_downloads.w5s component

This again relates to the experiments with using Qt5 engine.
The groundwork was laid in preparation, and a number of issues were addressed.
Though we ended up reverting much of the work for this release in the end.
From an end-user p.o.v., the overall functionality for e.g. ml_wire/ml_downloads podcast subscriptions and downloads is pretty much the same as before.

Overall, this is a relatively minor update and has been moved ahead of schedule to coincide with the website update.

The fixes provided by the update patch for 5.9.1 are obviously now included in 5.9.2

Double clicking on a playlist in the bento skin causes winamp to close unexpectedly, no error message, it just closes.
actually, double-clicking on any song in the media ibrary causes winamp to close.
I'll try a clean install (I installed over the previous version)

edit: clean installed fixed it, but Unicode handling still doesn't work...

There is something strange behaviour with the new Beta version and that is that Winamp can suddenly close for no reason.
I can for example double-click on Open Playlist or Save Playlist and it jumps out.

Hello, first of all thanks for keeping alive this player, always been my favorite one since i've known it on 2001, for me is an essential app in any system i own or build, i really appreciate that winamp still alive and kicking, best wishes for everyone involved in this :3

Now, i wanted to report a couple of things i've noticed:

1- Milkdrop (vis_milk2.dll) 2.25d: for some reason the visualization framerate is being affected when the cursor is moving over any visible area of the visualization window, this doesn't happen on winamp 5.666 with Milkdrop 2.25c; tbh idk if is related to this RC or to any 5.8+ version.

2- Output plugins: IDK if this works as intended but always has been weird in my opinion; if you change the volume in one plugin it will affect the volume on other plugins, idk how to explain exactly, english is not my lenguage so idk how to describe perfectly, let me put this way: if i choose "WaveOut Output (out_wave.dll)" and in the player interface i reduce the volume, let's say to 5%, if i stop the song, then select "DirectSound Output (out_ds.dll)", then play again the song, the volume is way lower and if i move the volume slider to max the output is the same that it was with "WaveOut" at 5% so to have proper volume again on "Directsound Output" i must choose "WaveOut Output" again and increase the volume to max, then switch again to "Directsound Output"; this happens too with "WASAPI Output" so as far as i've observed "Directsound Output" is affected by both "WaveOut Output" and "WASAPI Output", in the other hand "WASAPI Output" is affected by "WaveOut Output"; TBC this happens on 5.666 too so as i've said at begin idk if this works as intended or is just an issue that has never been reported.

Thanks again for your hard work.

the out_ds.dll output module is extremely unstable. The player keeps crashing. I'm using the out_ds version from the winamp 5.80 distribution. There are no problems with him. Who has the same problem, check.

                5.9.2 Final has been released.
First post has been updated accordingly.

A few minor changes since RC1 (10037), including translation resource fixes for the two new optional ml plugins.

Sadly the final 5.9.2. still has the critical crash bug that first appeared in the newly released 10037 RC1:

                  1. Open a big playlist (mine containing 10.000+ items)
                  2. Playlist - List button -> New list
                  3. Crash, Winamp closing without any information

I can reproduce it anytime, using the 10042 final as well (contact me pls if you need more info)
                  Win11 latest version, 22H2 build 22621.1635

                    I can actually reproduce that.

With my main (very large) playlist loaded...
Playlist Editor => List button => New Playlist (Clear) [Ctrl+N] = Silent crash

Did you report it somewhere else?

Does it crash if you use REM (-) button => Clear Playlist?

There is a problem with Rename Playlist...
                        1. Select the files in the playlist, right click and Send to > New Playlist and Enter name.
                        2. Right-click on the playlist created in ML, select Rename Playlist... and enter a new name.
                        3. The new name is not displayed and the old name is still there. Restart Winamp and only then will it show up.

...or maybe you could thank that there are people who still deal with this player.
I think he just wanted to highlight the point. He didn't capitalize it all.
