Please update the Winamp app for Android, people of the World deserves to have a newer version of Winamp available for recent smartphones,tablets,etc. I hope Winamp Team can do something about it in the near future

there is no winamp team and also no development anymore for the player.
If you had taken a look in the winamp discussion forum part you would have seen many posts about this.

Let's hope so! In the mean time, as mentioned elsewhere, I am very -- very -- satisfied with Musicolet. If a completely off-line, light-weight, multi-queue, and permissions-friendly Android app is your thing, then Musicolet is your friend.

I've been using Winamp (on PC) almost since the very first release, and also wanted to have it on my Android phones as soon as the app came to life, but for some reason, it never was as useful and practical for me, I felt like I was using a DOS program from 1986 or something like that. Fortunately I found PowerAmp and now I can't live without it (on my phone).

I wish, if the time comes, that Winamp for Android was as powerful and practical as PowerAmp is, it does wonders playing my FLAC files and has lots of audio options to choose from, not to mention the deeply customizable equalizer.

they get pause or lost; when turn off display or LOCK screen.
occupies priority in the APP, so that it keeps playing the music without stopping spontaneously.

It is annoying that I have to get out of the shower with my eyes full of soap, because WINAMP at Android stops Spontaneously.
