Possibly it is also because many good music-websites work much better in Firefox & Chrome than in Internet Explorer anyway, and My Cloud Player is one of the examples. There are also websites which work in Chrome only, but not in Firefox.
More and more music- and artist-websites change from http to https, and this year I had to update the URLs a few times. Recently I have discovered, that also Radionomy has changed the URL from http to https.
The changes of the URLs by the websites will be a lot of work also for the Web Reader in the SUI-Skins, for example cPro & cPro2 & cProXUI & Komodo X Touchscreen by Victhor.
BTW, does Mixcloud still work in the "Normal Internet Explorer"? Currently I have other music on YouTube running in Firefox, so that I myself cannot test it...

Same here Mixcloud is no longer working, but it tends to be borked in any of my browsers with tight security, and almost no web dev gives a crap if their site works for IE anymore.
Radionomy links are still working as normal streams here in the UK.
Due to the nature of the media it Geo-blocking could well be an issue for any of these not working.

The cloudflare certificate is using the newer style Eliptic Curve cypher.
IE8/WinXP will not open the link either.
Firefox has its own certificate store.
I recommend making your comparison with IE because it uses the OS certificate store like Winamp.
Helpful link but only slightly.
Come on people, someone must be able to find some more full HTTPS streams that are not Radionomy.

It plays in Firefox but not in Winamp.

Thanks for the post.
My main problem I found is that so few streams are actually served via HTTPS, even though the host site uses it for login.
As you see I still only have 2, and both are served from Radionomy
As yet nobody has supplied any other URLs to try, and I will try any that are given.

DrO, the former lead Winamp developer, discusses HTTPS streams in Winamp here:
https://getwinamp.com/blog/index.php...y160801-161955
He seems to think that that they don't work properly.
I don't know enough about such things to continue the discussion, but I'm sure he'd welcome your input through the comments section of his blog. (DrO won't respond here)
Maybe you can convince him that they work correctly so he doesn't waste time fixing something that isn't broken.
Or maybe he'll convince you that they don't work properly.

It is not rocket surgery, that is how the web works. HTTPS is HTTP with TLS and a certificate
Unless the server admin has specifically set the server to deny non-authenticated connections, HTTP will always work.
Like I said already, you show me your failed streams, and I will show you a site without a valid certificate.
There is nothing more to it than that.

...errr I just did.
You played the soundcloud link via HTTPS, thereby proving that Winamp can stream via HTTPS if the certificate is valid.
Souncloud uses a certificate minted for the site, so you can use the whole site via HTTPS, not just logins.
Show me your failed HTTPS radio streams, and I will show you a site without a certificate, or a matching certificate.
I bet if you try the problem site with an S, you get a fail in your web browser.
You will see the certificate belongs to Akamai or other CDN.
Just because a site will use HTTPS for logins, does not mean that the content will work via HTTPS.
NPR is an example https://www.npr.org/music/ will not work because the certificate does not match
Same for https://www.kcrw.com/music/shows/eclectic24
Those sites use HTTPS logins and you could force IE to accept the expired or wrong certificates for those sites (but no, you should never do that).
Here is your proof if you need more.
