4shared.com is bloody awful to use, sorry but i've tried to use it a few times now and it just sucks (too many hoops to jump through to get to files compared the other crappy file sharing sites out there).

honestly, I don't know what you're talking about? you register, and that's it. everytime I go back i'm automatically signed in, and I just upload whatever I want. sharing it is np.

my own hosting and dropbox. maybe 4shared.com is easier for uploading, but the few times i've been forced to have to use it to get files, it's been just a complete hassle and almost gave up waiting. though maybe that's because it was a free account i was using.

as long as you're signed in, you shouldn't have a problem, (my acct is also free).

I just mucked around a bit in there, it seems very clean and intuitive to me. the downloading is a bit cluttered and pop-uppy, but once u do it once its np.

i just don't link it especially when it throws popup windows. that's my view, if you're happy with it then so be it, but as far as a medium for accessing files on here for tech support issues, it's sub-par imho.

that's kool and the gang but I haven't found anything better. I don't want to run dropbox and the last two I used to use, that DJ Egg recommended, got killed, so this one at least works.

as the OP so subtly suggests, the forums could be fixed to eliminate the issue.
