  • Plugin to allow start up of last track played

    as above really.....

    I have seen a plugin advertised about this.

    For example, you switch off your pc in the middle of playing a track in winamp and next time you re-boot it continues to play track where it was last stopped.

    Im making a ITX machine for in my car and chances are it will get powered down , and i cant be bothered to have to relocate the track that it was playing.

    Any links to plugins here will be most appreciated

        Config options c/o
        Prefs (Ctrl+P) -> Plugins -> General Purpose -> TimeRestore -> config

              DrO does the time restore plugin work with winamp5 rc10 cause when i close winamp and then open it again it plays the song but it will not resume the spot where the song stoped. I also tried to pause the track and then close it. But the same results when i open winamp it is paused but it won't resume the track position. Is the plugin supposed to do that or am i just dumb and not reading right. lol

                have you checked that the option to restore the play position has been checked in the plugin config (look under the general plugin section in the winamp preferences).

                that's the only thing i can think of for it not working. for v1.4a the default install is to autoplay and for the position restore to be off - changed in the current build (v1.52) which fixes a few issues and will be out in a few days (once i'm properly back online check the jump to file thread in the winamp2 discussion for the reasons)

                  I have installed gen_timerestore.dll but when I go to Winamp/Plug-ins/General Purpose the list includes -
                  Gen_timerestore.dll NOT LOADED
                  I cannot proceed from here to get it to work.

                    What version? Where did you get it? Remove what you have, then extract the plug-in's installer from the attached zip file and try it.

                      i use the time restore plugin myself, but if u go to:

                      prefs > ML > history > playback resume

                      ...u will find a basic resume feature built in to winamp.

                        cool!
                        I still have a couple of old plugins (all zipped up). But they don't work anymore.
