Hi..
I've just installed Winamp 5.01, as an Administrator, into c:\program files\winamp
Running as that administrator, everything works fine.
However, if I log on as an ordinary user, Winamp takes quite a while to start up, and then crashes about 10 seconds into every track.
Having looked through the system's audit logs, Winamp has made many unsuccessful attempts to create the file:
c:\program files\winamp\plugins\ml\main.dat.lock
but has failed each time because the non-admin user does not have write privilege to that directory.
What do I need to do to get Winamp to work well when run by a standard user?
Many thanks,
David
