    Winamp 5 can also rip CDs, but I've never used it.

    That's correct kliq.

    What you've copied to your hard disk is just the index, not the music itself.
    You will need to use a 'ripping' program if you want to copy the music as well.

    ok, I did a copy of a cd in my documents carpet, but i don´t have the cd, so i won´t be able to play the tracks?? if i don´t have the cd in my drive?????

    Or use Winamp's Play > Audio CD X:

    If you have CDDB enabled it should find the track names for you as well.

    Open the playlist with the "PL" button, click "add", then "add file", then find the files.

    Keep in mind that CDA files are just information about the CD you have in the drive, so you have to play them off of the CD - you can't copy them off of the CD.
