Problems with ASIO - newbie
21 December 2004, 14:12
I've installed ASIO correctly, I think. However, my card (Chaintech av710) doesn't show up in the drop down list. Am I missing something?

Did you install ASIO4ALL (and the VIA drivers, though I don't know if they're really required)?

I installed ASIO4all and the card shows up as "beyond logic" in the ASIO4ALL control panel. UGH!!
Also, the card doesn't show up in the ASIO settings in Winamp. It does, however, show up when I use direct sound.
Please help.

Alas I don't have a Chaintech card so I can only reproduce what I've read elsewhere.
Did you try asking for help at Head-FI? A lot of people there use the AV 710.

Use professional souund card because these manufacturers put more time and money in writing a good asio driver.
