Using "Winamp Modern" skin menus
(if you're using some other modern skin, then the menus might be slightly different)
Main window > config drawer > options tab
Notifications > Never show
Winamp > Main menu (left click on top left corner icon, or rt click on any gray-space)
Options > Winamp Modern > Notifications > never show
Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Modern skins > Curent Skin tab > Skin Options Menu > Notifications > never show -

Well, maybe you're talking about some other notifier then?
Please provide a screenshot.
The default Winamp Modern skin notifier only appears in the bottom right corner of the screen, above the system clock.
Maybe you've installed some 3rd-party plugin, like Toaster, or something?

thanks lol, it was toaster, i didnt realise was it was when i was looking through the plugins before, i didnt install it manually though, is there any other prorgams, like msn plus or msn 7.0 beta that might install it
