I'm trying to play my radio through my computer speakers. Using Blaze Media Pro I could record the line in, but I could not play it in winamp.

I tried ctrl l then typed linein:// It acted like it was playing but there was no sound output.

If you just want Winamp's visualizations to react to the input from Line In, try the following from TSGH....

    CD & LineIn Visualizations
Have you increasing the Line In volume of the Windows Recording Control mixer?

If you want to use Winamp's EQ or DSP/Effects plug-in with the Line-In (also for vis). Use Jasper's LineIn plugin.

Note Jasper's plug-in uses line:// and not Winamp's default linein://. To prevent echoes, the Microphone and/or Line-in should be muted in the Windows playback mixer (little speaker icon in the systray). For more info on using Jasper's plug-in see the online documentation. Because of the plug-in's nature there is a noticeable latency (delay) issue. The on line docs has some suggestions for reducing the delay.

Winamp's default Line-In plug-in only samples from the soundcard for the visualizations.

If you want the sound to actually be processed through Winamp, so you can use a DSP/effect plugins, Winamp's volume and/or EQ, you will need to use Jasper's LineIn plugin.

[edit] Blah we posted at the some time. Well, I will close this as requested. Good Luck
