can't alt-tab to winamp

I can't alt-tab to winamp when it's set to only sit in the system tray. If I let it have a task bar entry I can, but I'd rather have it sit in the system tray since it takes less room there.

Anyway around this?

Have both the taskbar and system tray options selected in Prefs -> General Preferences.

ah, ok, I think I was just docking winamp so of course the taskbar button wouldn't disappear!

Go into winamp preferences and 'Global Hotkeys' on the left

Make sure they are enabled with the check box at the top.

Create a new key combination for 'UI: Bring to front/hide winamp'

You can use something such as the media button on your keyboard if you have one, or any combination of Ctrl + Alt +

Then you can access the winamp library like that.

This way.. You can also hide winamp with the same button. And the media button should still work if you use it to open winamp in the first place.

I was also able to set a hotkey to windowshade winamp, which is really what I wanted from the beginning =D

and i did one to solve the problem i wrote about initially as well.
