installing Gracenote?

I tried searching the forum for this information, and nothing came back:

I just installed 5.5 on another computer and while watching the install, I saw "installing Gracenote." What does that mean?

As far as I knew, Gracenote provided a service for player4s to get CD information when CD's are ripped to the computer.

Correct.

Gracenote is installed when any of the following are kept checkmarked in the Installer_Options:

CDDB for recognizing CD's
Auto-Tagger (powered by Gracenote)
Winamp Playlist Generator (powered by Gracenote)
