  • 'Find file on disk' doesnt work anymore

    Hi

    1.
i searched for "find fild on disk" pluging but found no solutions. I re-installed winamp because the start up was getting slower and slower.
But now, the find file on disk plugin wont work anymore! Nothing happens. Reinstalled winamp and the plugin SEVERAL times now. gen_jumpex and gen_find_file... are both in the plugins directory, as it is supposed to be.

This is the most important function for me, after the play button! please help!!

    2.
does someone know what the name of the skin is attached in this post?

In answer to #1, the plugin works FINE for me. Are you using the latest version?

In answer to #2, I have no answer.

      Question 2...

      Maybe the WMP11 skin?

Actually, that is not it (close enough though).

          @Phrygus
The skin that a previously suggested does not have the red color theme. It doesn't have any. However, this is what you are looking for...

          Winamp WMP11.

Yuhuuu, its workey now! I installed the version 0.97 of Find file disk!

But normally it should also work when you install only the new version 1.57, because i installed it with the "winamp essentials" and it worked too. Just after re-installing winamp it started to not work...

@Jonny Mac: thats it with the red color theme! oops i didnt recognize that it was winamps most enemies, WMP!

maybe a question more: does a big library ALWAYS follow with slooow start up in winamp`? I mean, i dont have any function that are being activated on startup, like "check new files" or something like that.

Phrygus: if gen_jumpex.dll is present as you say then there should be no reason for ffod to fail. i've been meaning to make a version of ffod that's jtfe independant so i'll try and post back with a test build in the next day or two (real work permitting) as i'd like to remove this issue if possible. also i wouldn't use anything below 1.x of the plugin (i think 1.4x was the last one that was independant of jtfe) since you'll have some unicode features of 5.5x fail with the older plugins

when you installed 1.x there was a small informations box, in that it stood to install 0.97 if there are problems.

so you're installing v0.97 of find file on disk (ffod) then? sorry but i'm a bit confused now over what you've been trying to install since the note says to basically install the latest gen_jumpex (jtfe) version when you install 1.57 of ffod
