  • Winamp keeps saying 'Invalid registration key'

    Hello.

    I just purchased winamp 5.54 via paypal.
    Then I downloaded program from http://www.findmyorder.com
    and took registration key from there.

    But when I try to register with my name and key, winamp doesn't accept it...

    Of course I tried to contact customer support via form but i always receive a reply "Returned mail: see transcript for details" from [email protected] which says "----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
    <[email protected]>
    (reason: 550 5.7.1 relaying denied)"

    so this forum is my last hope to get my problem solved.

        Hello!

        I've got the same problem - would be nice if you post the solution so everybody with this problem can use the solution...

        If not, you "force" me to post the same problem again and the next user has te post it again (and so on...).

          hey. i am sorry, was an administrative problem only... received a new key from DJ Egg and then everything turned out well...

          so i won't publish my username and reg_key here

            O.K.

            But after reading this answer, I know that I have to get a new key and that there is nothing wrong with the program or my computer...

              Also note that it should say something like this on the order receipt:

              LOOKING UP YOUR ORDER
              1.Go to http://www.findmyorder.com. You may also find other helpful information on this page.

              There's a 'Contact Customer Service' link via the links at the bottom, e.g.

              1. Looking for download information? Click here
              2. Still need help? Contact Customer Service

              The [email protected] email address used for sending out the automatic receipt is a no-reply address, ie. that's why you get an 'undeliverable email' reply if you try to reply to it directly.

              So... fill in the form at www.findmyorder.com and you will get a reply from Digital River Customer Service.
              Their email will probably just include a copy of your original order receipt/instructions, but it will also include a valid Winamp Support email address (not Digital River Customer Support) in the body of the message. Send the reply to THAT email address only (again, don't just hit Reply & Send). The email will then come directly to me, and I will then issue you with a new working key.

              Note that your email needs to include a copy of your order receipt as proof of purchase. If it doesn't, then my reply will just ask you to send it again. I can't issue a new key otherwise.

                I have the same problem: invalid registration key. I tried everything, I tried to contact the customer service but no matter which email I use I get an error email. I used the web form as well and no luck. Every email I send comes back to me. It's mentioned in this forum to get a new key but where? I don't know what else to do. Anybody? Thanks

                  Same problem here...

                  Bought Winamp Pro 2 nights ago, tried registration key with my full name, first name, email address, order number, etc. and keep getting the Invalid Registration Key error.

                  Sent email to Digital River customer service last night - got no confirmation or any response whatever as of yet.

                      if you sent a email to digital river it dose take 1 to 2 buiness days to recive a reply from them and thanks for getting mine pro to work dj egg

                          hi, i've got the same problem. bought the winamp pro-version some days ago, but the registration key is invalid...can you help me DJ EGG? i wrote an email to the customer service but they did not answer...

                            sounds all so familiar - been trying now to get a valid registration key from customer service by half dozen of trials of the the last months - and haven't received even an confirmation.
                            Anybody got an idea how to put things in order?

                              I too purchaded the pro verson the other night. I did it at 5:47am on the 27th as a matter of fact. I also get "invalid registration" I then came here and after reading this thread, I havn't bothered to email anyone as it seems not to work. Instead, I PMed DJ EGG that same morning and I have yet to get a reply. In message tracking, it shows that he hasn't even read my PM. Maybe he's on vacation or something.
