  • Winamp - No media library

Hi, I have recently gone back to winamp. I used it a while ago, then moved on to other media players then moved back. Mainly because I need Ogg Vorbis and FLAC support. Anyway, I installed WinAmp fine however I can't find any media library.

Below / Attached is a screenshot of where I think the library should be but there is nothing. Also when I click "File" >> "Add Media to Library..." absolutely nothing happens.

Any help would be great, thanks

    Reinstall Winamp 5.551
and make sure "Core Media Library components"
plus any other ML plugins of your choice
are checkmarked in the Installer Options.

Installer -> Choose Components page -> Winamp Library -> Core Media Library components

ok thanks that fixed it, unfortunately WinAmp seems a bit un-stable, keeps crashing, is that usual?

        No. It's not usual.

To help you further we would need to see your HijackThis log, List of Plugins & details of the crash error message.

Its been working perfectly since you asked for the error message.

The error is just the windows, application crashed,
Send error message / Don't Send / Debug.

Note I am a creative user, however I was unable to find the gen_nomad.dll plugin.

I have a screenshot but for some reason i can't use the full editor, the newreply.php just goes blank.

          Downloading HijackThis now.
