  • Shoutcast TV images appear inverted

I am using WinAmp 5.57 Build 2792. For some mysterious reasons the images come inverted. To get proper images they need to be rotated 180 degrees horizontally as well as vertically.

How can I do that? Please help me

    Shoutcast TV images appear inverted

It seems that I am the only one having this problem because so far no solution has come up.

This message shall bring my query to the fore again so that more members see it and a reply for corrective action appears.

Today I upgraded to version 5.571 but no luck. The problem continues.

Is there no one here who can help me? The problem is driving me crazy.

Surprising that no solutions have been posted so far to the problem that BellaB81 and I have been having, even after so many days.

            Hi

No solutions have been posted (in this thread) because you haven't supplied the required information.

The most common cause of this issue will be old graphics card/chip drivers.

We're using a new D3D video renderer in Winamp 5.57x
which could well expose bugs in old graphics drivers.

If you don't know what your graphics card is
(at a guess, it'll be some onboard chip, eg. Intel 945g or VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP),
then please attach your dxdiag log.

            Start -> Run:
            Type: dxdiag
            Hit Enter/OK
            Wait for it to load
            Click 'Save all information'
Attach dxdiag.txt to your next post (via 'Post a Reply' button).

Latest onboard graphics drivers are usually available at the pc or motherboard manufacturer's website.

After installing the updated graphics drivers,
also run the DX9 web updater from here.

Thank you for your prompt response. The required information is attached.

Maybe this would give a clue regarding what should be done to correct the problem.

                Dxdiag log says:

Card name: Intel(R) 82845G Graphics Controller
                Driver Version: 6.13.0001.3317
                Driver Date: 10/25/2002

                Not a bad guess, eh?

(ok, yours is 845g, whereas I predicted 945g)

Get the v6.14 drivers (2007) here:

                WinXP drivers:
Download new and previously released drivers including support software, bios, utilities, firmware and patches for Intel products.

Thanks a million for your help, DJ Egg. I only downloaded and installed the Win XP drivers from the link provided by you and the TV images became alright.

It seems that the file SysReqLab.cab required for updating 6.14 drivers (2007) is shareware so I could not update these drivers and also there was no need to.

If BelleB81 is reading this thread he/she could also try and correct the problem on his/her machine by just updating the Win XP drivers.

Thank you once again DJ Egg.

Yay! Glad to hear that the updated drivers fixed the problem :-)

If BellaB81 (or anyone else) is experiencing the problem,
then they also need to attach their dxdiag log like you did.
Chances are they might have a different graphics chip to yours,
and therefore they'll need to install the correct/relevant drivers.

The Intel 845g drivers update that you installed is for Intel 845g graphics chips only.

I fixed the problem by installing an older version: 5.55

Winamp 5.55 is full of bugs & security vulnerabilities.

Your graphics card/chip drivers need updating...
There's no time like the present :-)

Why should you go back to an older version when updating the graphic card/chip drivers is so easy once DJ Egg has explained how.
