Random volume drops

I'm noticing an odd and seemingly random occurrence of Winamp dropping its volume to the teens upon track changing. The volume in Winamp stays the same, the effect is in the Windows volume mixer. I had this happen in both Bento and Modern skins. I originally thought it was Replay Gain messing with things but I disabled it and it didn't help. I noticed something similar in 5.56 when upon opening the program, the Windows volume will be a few points under what it should be. I don't even know how to recreate the bug other than wait for it to happen. Using Windows 7 Home x64.

Update: it would seem the problem occurs when switching to a MIDI file. To see if this also effects you:
1. Have some music playing
2. Open a MIDI file from the library or drag it to Winamp
3. The volume in the Windows mixer will drop to the teens

Oh well that does help. How come this didn't effect version 5.56?
