  • Is there any way to get Winamp's controls and playlist window to open upwardly?

Given Firefox's new look keeping Winamp in runt mode in the title bar doesn't really work anymore, there's only room for a few tabs. Here's a screenshot of what I mean:

Unlimited space to host images, easy to use image uploader, albums, photo hosting, sharing, dynamic image resizing on web and mobile.

However the add-on bar would be great place to stick winamp, if I could just get the controls and playlist to open upwards. As is they open downward and it's just unworkable:

Unlimited space to host images, easy to use image uploader, albums, photo hosting, sharing, dynamic image resizing on web and mobile.

I know you can change around Firefox's look, but I really like the way they handle tabs now and would much rather find a way to make winamp fit in. Some setting I'm overlooking, an alternative skin, registry hack, whatever.

    Thanks.

What exactly do you mean with "add-on bar"? Where would you like Winamp to stick?

However, the Windowshade mode and toolbar/docking modes of Winamp have some glitches, e.g. in Bento Skin it covers the upper right pixel of the screen which means that you cannot close maximized Windows behind it by pushing the mouse up-right...... but that's another issue I discussed years ago

But in your case, I cannot really see where you think Winamp should fit in?

The add-on bar is at the bottom of the Firefox window, the thin, single horizontal strip. There's a close button at the far left, three icons at the far right.

Ah, I see. In previous Versions this just was the normal status bar (though, of course, Add-ons could place icons on it). But there was no close button. I personally would not like to dock my Winamp there as I think in this bar also link targets are shown (as in the status bar before) when hovering over a link. If Winamp sits before it, I couldn't see them .... But that's just a matter of taste, I think.
