  • Preferences window is too small in Win7 x64 Ultimate

    Hi.

I've just installed Win7 x64 Ultimate, and because WMP is still buggy and just generally crap, I've installed my old favourite, Winamp 5.32.

However, when I open the preferences window to set up things like Global Hotkeys, some windows don't have all the information visible. Specifically, Missing Files, Modern Skins, and Global Hotkeys. It's like the window just needs resizing, but Winamp doesn't let me resize that window.

It's a clean, default build with no plugins, running on an Asus A8N-SLi with an AMD x64 s939 4800+ X2. The graphics card is an XFX GTX260. I have all the latest drivers installed for both because, as mentioned, this is a new OS build. I have set the Windows DPI setting to 100% (I hated everything being giant anyway) and even told Windows to ignore DPI settings for winamp.exe.

I've Googled and searched this forum to no avail.

Can someone please steer me in the right direction?

    Thanks heaps!
    Benjamin.

well the first thought was going to be dpi settings but you've disabled that, so that really just leaves installing the current Winamp version and seeing if that exhibits the same issue. could also be from any other programs running on the system which might be hooking the Winamp process and tinkering with things.
