Okay, I've been using Winamp with the same volume settings for months to play my MP3s - preamp at zero, Winamp volume at maximum, and PC volume at 2%.
A few hours ago I decided to play a MIDI file. The song played at a low volume and I increased my PC speakers to around 20% to be able to listen to it properly. I thought that was normal, since the MIDI file was of extremely low quality. However when I resumed playing my MP3 files, it played at the same volume as the MIDI file, and I could barely hear anything at 2%, which is what I want to keep my PC volume at. Any idea why this might have happened? I tried reinstalling it, but no change. Thanks
Also, instead of opening another thread, anyone know how you can get WINAMP to stop playback automatically when it's closed? It's annoying when it continues playing a song as soon as I open it.
