Hey, I've been facing this problem for quite some time and I thought I might ask here. The thing is, when I play a track at a fixed volume, if I move the cursor of the seek bar, or even just click on it, the volume changes. But the volume slider doesen't move at all. And if I click again on the seek bar, on any part of it, or just press left/right arrow key it changes the volume again in the same way. I also checked the sistem volume slider and it doesen't change it's possition either. So, any ideeas on how to keep it constant? I also tried to instal a plug-in to normalise the output but it doesen't work. Thanks!

Winamp changes volume in a strange way

winamp already has replaygain, use that to get consistent volume.
as to your issue, i'm not sure what you are seeing. every song has different song levels within the song, so if you change song position, one would expect differing volumes.
however, if you are saying the volume changes by just "starting" a click and holding it, i would think thats unexpected. i haven't noticed that, and can't reproduce.

I allready have replay gain activated and it doesen't work. I'll try to be more explicit, so here it is: Let's say I only have 1 single song in my playlist. I double click it and it starts at a defined sound volume. Now, while it is playing, if I click on the seek bar or move the seek bar cursor or press left/right arrow key (so esentialy changeing from minute 1:20 to 1:25 or whatever gap on the same track) it will change it's sound volume. This happens each time I do this for an unlimited amount. And it only has 2 levels of sound, one is pretty low and the other is a bit louder and as I mentioned in the 1st post the volume bar doesen't move, only audible audio does. I hope I managed to express well enough this time.
ps: as for the oneforunz list, I don't know what that is.

you also have to have RG tags added to the files, which winamp can do. RG does work.
search "onefornunz" in the forums.
i can't reproduce the issue. when i click and hold the seekbar, no volume change. if i move the position, i expect it to change, but only to reflect the expected difference in a different part of the song.PENN STATE Radio or http://www.LION-Radio.org/
