    Hi,
    I have Winamp Pro V5.622 (x86) Oct 26 2011
I would like to rip tracks from a two set CD that I just bought. Is there a way to get the actual song titles in the file name rather that Track 1 Track 2 etc?
    Thanks

    Hi Frank C,

Maybe your WA preferences are not setup correctly. Info linked below.

Winamp v5.9.2.10042 - Quinto Black CT v3.8 skin
    Windows 11 Home 64-bit v22H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system

      Thanks Aminifu,
I did have "Read Audio data from CD's using bundled sonic extraction engine" checked. I did not see the song names. It probably is because the CD's do not employ that technology. I was ripping the Benny Goodman Carnegie Hall concert of Janurary 1938.
      I'll try something more recent.
      Regards
      Frank

It's more likely nobody has submitted the data for that CD to Gracenote. If you want to, you should be able to use Winamp to do so. Info linked below.

Click on "How can I upload (submit) my CD to be included in the Gracenote service?" and scroll down to "How do I submit (upload) CDs to Gracenote using Winamp?"

          Thanks Aminifu
I went here - Grace notes:

"Open Winamp and place your CD into your CD ROM Drive. Click Submit New".

I didn't get the above screen when I load the CD. How do I turn grace notes on?

I got it! I now see titles in the play list.

I didn't have "Use Music ID" Checked:
            Options > Preferences > Plug-ins > Input
            Select "CD Plug-in (Music id 2.6) v3.92 {in cdda.dll]"
Configure > Check Use MusID > OK

              Hi Frank C,

Good work. Winamp has a ton of preferences and they are spread around. Takes some work to find and understand them all.
